You will hear from ONA on your included passes by July 1 (and on a rolling basis for partnership agreements closed after June 30).

If you need additional passes, the deadline for Early Bird rates – the most affordable of the year – is July 28.

No unregistered individuals will be allowed entry to any ONA22 events, regardless of affiliation or reason. All sponsored session speakers need to have ONA22 badges – via either passes included in your sponsorship package OR passes purchased individually

If you need to purchase multiple passes via an invoice, please contact Leah Rush at registration@journalists.org.

Please consult your individual sponsorship agreement for how many full or virtual-only passes your package provides. Full passes allow for in-person admission to ONA22 in Los Angeles at the Westin Bonaventure as well as access to any ONA22 content available virtually, both live and archived. Virtual-only passes will only allow access to ONA22 online experience. While you may opt to only use your full pass to attend virtually, you may not use your virtual-only pass to attend in-person.

If you have other staff that would like to attend ONA, whether in person or online, beyond your package-allotted tickets, they will need to register separately. No unregistered individuals will be allowed entry to any ONA22 events, regardless of affiliation or reason, and we will not sell passes in person on site in Los Angeles.

No. Any speakers or participants in any sponsored session/workshop/meal/reception/event, whether in person or online, will need the appropriate ONA22 pass to participate. You may choose to cover the speakers’ pass through your package allotment.

No unregistered individuals will be allowed entry to any ONA22 events, regardless of affiliation or reason. All sponsored session speakers need to have ONA22 badges – via eithe8r passes included in your sponsorship package OR passes purchased individually.

Unless otherwise noted, ONA22 sponsor packages include one (1) 6-foot table top space either on the Jogging Track or in the Hollywood Ballroom on the third floor. If you prefer to not use your allotted table top space, please email Bill at bill@journalists.org to let him know.

All table top spaces include one (1) draped, 6-foot table, 2 chairs, a wastebasket and shared access to a 10 amp electric drop and power strip. Please note: No stand-alone backdrops or banners exceeding 5 feet in width or pipe-and-drape can be used; additional signage within those space restrictions may be used.

Booth numbers, which are requested by FedEx + Alliance if you are shipping packages to the Westin Bonaventure, can be found here: https://tinyurl.com/pf67vuf7

Space assignments are assigned on a first-come, first-serve basis and also based on your sponsorship type or package.

You may use the space as you choose: it can be hosted with staff available to talk to attendees or unhosted but containing information (ie, signage, business cards, handouts) about how to connect with you. Email Hanaa at hanaa@journalists.org to talk through best practices and your plans Please note: No stand-alone backdrops or banners exceeding 5 feet in width or pipe-and-drape can be used; additional signage within those space restrictions may be used. Giveaways are at your discretion.

You are welcome to offer limited food and beverage options at your table, with a few exclusions (such as coffee service), using the Westin Bonaventure’s food and beverage service. Please contact jessica@journalists.org to discuss your idea and to be directly connected to the hotel to see a current menu and make your order.

Yes. Tables will be provided shared access to a 10 amp electric drop and power strip that will allow you to plug in a few items at a time (e.g., a laptop, monitor and a phone). You may not use your own extension cords or power strips. If sharing power is not something that works for your needs, please email hanaa@journalists.org to discuss options.

Yes. Wifi will be available to all attendees, including sponsors. Given that it is a shared resource, if being online is a critical part of your booth experience, please make sure you have an offline version that you can share if necessary until the connection is reestablished, or consider using a hotspot.

SET UP: Wednesday, Sept. 21, 5:30 – 8:00 p.m. and Thursday, Sept. 22, 7:00 – 8:30 a.m. All set-up must be complete prior to 9:00 a.m. on Thursday.

There is limited storage space at the Westin Bonaventure for Exhibitors/Sponsors available on a first-come, first-served basis. Small boxes and materials can be kept under your table. ONA will provide overnight security for table top exhibit spaces and lounges, but ONA and the Westin Bonaventure are not responsible for any theft.

Security will be on-hand 24 hrs./day while the exhibiting spaces are present, starting the Wednesday, Sept. 21 with set up and ending the evening of Friday, Sept. 23 after break down. ONA and the Westin Bonaventure are not responsible for any theft. Please use your best judgment for storing valuables, and consider bringing things of value to your personal room.

We will share updated attendee lists with event sponsors at several points prior to the start of ONA22 and once it concludes. The list contains names and affiliations; we do not share any contact information including email addresses or mailing information. We kindly request that you refrain from any pre-show mass mailings to this list.

As a digital media organization, we have been reducing our use of paper at all events. We will be using the conference website and app to provide the agenda, map and other event details. Interested in online advertising? Contact jessica@journalists.org for more information.

You are welcome to send shipments to the Westin Bonaventure for your exhibiting needs. Shipments must be scheduled to arrive no earlier than Friday, September 16, 2022 as the hotel has very limited storage space. Shipments arriving earlier will be refused or a storage fee may apply.

All packages shipped should be addressed and labeled accordingly:

ONA is not responsible for any sponsor shipping or handling fees or logistics.

Outbound shipping is available through the FedEx Business Center located on the lobby level of the Westin Bonaventure.  NOTE: The onsite FedEx office is closed Saturdays and Sundays.

There are two options for return shipping:

Create labels using your own FedEx Shipping account number and pasted onto each individual boxes.

These boxes can be dropped off onsite at the end of exhibiting/sponsor hours and FedEx will process them and charge handling fees depending on the weight.

Another option is to fill out this form, and attach it to boxes/packages. These boxes would need to be dropped off at the FedEx onsite to be processed with credit card details or a FedEx Shipping Account Number.

NOTE: FedEx is not responsible for packing or for supplying any packing materials. Any materials left behind without shipping instructions will be discarded three business days after your departure date.

ONA has shared information on ordering A/V support with our onsite provider Encore, as well as renting furniture (and shipping support) at a discounted rate using our partner Alliance Nationwide Exposition.

We also encourage you to consider buying, rather than renting, furniture, AV equipment, decorations, and more for your exhibiting spaces in advance, and consider donating them post-show.

For ONA22, we have partnered with Youth Emerging Stronger, a Los Angeles-based organization whose mission is to provide runaway, homeless and foster youth with safety, stability and housing, along with the relationships and resources to thrive now and in the future. Email Hanaa Rifaey to discuss donating your purchased items to this local nonprofit.

Since 2017, ONA has given a greater purpose to those goods by identifying a local charity in each event host city that would benefit from having such items donated.

  • ONA17, DC: A Wider Circle, which supports people transitioning from homelessness
  • ONA18, Austin: SAFE Austin. Our donations helped complete their new Eloise House, where survivors receive support and forensics testing after a sexual assault, and refresh their group support space for youth survivors.
  • ONA19, New Orleans: Ozanam Inn. Our donations helped update the living space at the shelter, including the monitors and computers in their employment training area, and were also used to support those transitioning into permanent housing.

The ONA22 Room Rate is no longer available. To book directly with Westin please click here.

If you’re not able to book a room for the full time at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel & Suites, hotels (we are not affiliated with) within a six minute walk are Millennium Biltmore or Hilton Checkers.
