Carrington Tatum

Carrington J. Tatum is a business analyst for the Dallas Morning News where he empowers the newsroom's coverage strategies with data. Before returning home to the Dallas area, Carrington was an environmental justice reporter for MLK50: Justice Through Journalism, a non-profit newsroom in Memphis, Tennessee. This year, he won a National Headliner Award for reporting that helped stop an oil pipeline project that tried to force land rights away from owners in a Black, low-wealth community. Before Memphis, he interned for the Dallas Morning News and the Texas Tribune while a student at Texas State University.
