Over the past couple of years, YouTube has worked to raise authoritative voices and reduce the spread of borderline content and harmful misinformation across the platform. Join the news team at YouTube for this session on how to effectively scale a news channel on YouTube. We will share best practices on formats and channel optimization techniques that engage audiences on the platform.

We will also be joined for a fireside chat with former NBC News journalist Emmanuelle Saliba who will share her experience of launching her own channel.

This session is designed for journalists and news organizations who are working with off-platform video and are interested in learning how to leverage YouTube to grow their online presence.

There will be time for Q&A during the session itself and then the YouTube team will be available office hours for 30 minutes directly following the event.

Note: This event will be both virtual and in-person in the Los Feliz room on the Lobby Level of the Westin Bonaventure. There is very limited space is available for the in-person conversation, but unlimited space is available for virtual attendees. Refreshments will be provided for in-person attendees.

The first 35 ONA22 registrant RSVPs for the virtual event will receive a GrubHub voucher* that will allow you to purchase lunch (or dinner, depending on your location) as part of this virtual meal event. All RSVPs will receive a direct link to participate in this virtual conversation by Sept. 21.

* Please note: If GrubHub is not available in the area you will located on the day of this virtual event, we cannot provide a GrubHub certificate, but you are still welcome to join this session.
