Panelists from newsrooms across the Midwest will discuss how they’ve organized their newsrooms to serve communities beyond the basic principles of journalism. Examples include: Block Club Chicago’s award-winning, bilingual COVID-19 hotline, Injustice Watch’s Check Your Judges guide, and Outlier Media’s custom text-based service of need-to-know information for Detroit residents.

RSVPs for this event, which are required for entry, are now full. If you are on the wait list, ONA will reach out to you if a space opens up. Questions? Email partnerships@journalists.org.

This conversation is supported by the MacArthur Foundation.
