Discover how investigative journalists from award-winning news organizations are using modern technology and applications to locate, search and exploit public records to tell powerful stories. The session will cover beginner-friendly tactics to obtain data through mining and creative requests and will offer ideas about how reporters, including those without technical skills, can use readily available datasets to tackle elections, crime, traffic and more.
