Digital journalists working in organizations whose coverage focuses on rural, metro and local issues are encouraged to apply for the ONA22 Local News Scholarship. Recipients will receive complimentary registration to attend ONA22, Sept. 21-24, either in-person or virtually, and will be notified by a member of ONA staff if selected.
Applications will be reviewed and selected in three phases at the end of May, June and in mid-July. All applicants will receive notification of their status no later than July 21.
The deadline to apply is July 15, 11:59 p.m. EDT (03:59 a.m. UTC).
