Digital journalists from communities historically underrepresented in journalism are encouraged to apply for the ONA22 Diversity and Inclusion Scholarship — including but not limited to Black, Indigenous, and/or other people of color; people of the LGBTQ+ community; and disabled people. Scholarships provide complimentary registration to attend ONA22, Sept. 21-24, either in-person or virtually.
Applications will be reviewed and selected in three phases at the end of May, June and in mid-July. All applicants will receive notification of their status no later than July 21, 2022.
The deadline to apply is July 15, 11:59 p.m. EDT (03:59 a.m. UTC).
